Code of Conduct & Ethics

1. Purpose and Scope: At Sena Kalyan Overseas Employment Services Ltd. (SKOESL), we do not just recruit workers; we deploy ambassadors of Bangladesh. As a concern of Sena Kalyan Sangstha, we are bound by a heritage of discipline and integrity. This Code of Conduct outlines the mandatory behavioral standards for all registered candidates and deployed workers.

2. Core Values

  • Discipline: Adhering to schedules, rules, and instructions without deviation.
  • Integrity: Absolute honesty in documentation and financial dealings.
  • Respect: Upholding the dignity of colleagues, superiors, and host country citizens.

3. Conduct During the Recruitment Process (In Bangladesh)

  • Zero Tolerance for Middlemen: SKOESL operates with direct transparency. Candidates are strictly prohibited from paying bribes, “speed money,” or unauthorized fees to any broker, middleman, or agency staff. Any attempt to offer a bribe will result in immediate disqualification and blacklisting.
  • Document Authenticity: Submission of fake educational certificates, forged driving licenses, or altered medical reports is a criminal offense. We verify all documents rigorously.
  • Behavior at SKS Tower: While visiting our office at SKS Tower, Mohakhali, candidates must maintain silence, queue in an orderly fashion, and treat all staff and security personnel with respect. Unruly behavior or shouting is grounds for removal from the premises.

4. Conduct While Abroad (Overseas Employment)

Compliance with Local Laws:

  • GCC Countries (KSA, UAE, Qatar, etc.): Candidates must strictly adhere to Islamic laws and customs. Alcohol, pork, drugs, and public disturbances are strictly prohibited and carry severe legal penalties in these nations.
  • East Asia & Europe (Japan, South Korea, Greece): Candidates must respect the local work culture, which emphasizes punctuality (being on time is late; being early is on time) and strict workplace hierarchy.

Workplace Ethics:

  • Fulfill the duties outlined in the employment contract with dedication.
  • Do not engage in illegal strikes or labor unrest. Disputes should be resolved through the proper channels provided by the embassy or SKOESL welfare officers.

Prohibition on Absconding: “Huroob” or running away from the sponsor is illegal. Candidates must complete their contract terms. Absconding tarnishes the reputation of Bangladesh and Sena Kalyan Sangstha and leads to legal deportation.

5. Health and Safety

  • Candidates must not conceal any pre-existing medical conditions during the recruitment phase.
  • Once abroad, workers must strictly follow the safety protocols (PPE, machinery guidelines) of their employer to prevent accidents.

6. Disciplinary Actions Violation of this Code of Conduct will result in:

  • Immediate cancellation of the recruitment process.
  • Forfeiture of service charges (if applicable under policy).
  • Legal action under the Overseas Employment and Migrants Act, 2013.
  • Reporting the individual to the Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET) for a ban on future travel.

7. Commitment: By registering with SKOESL, I acknowledge that I am representing the Sena Kalyan Sangstha and the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. I pledge to uphold the honor of my country through my hard work and good character.
